Saint-Jean and Longue-Pointe Garrison
Longue-Pointe Garrison is located in Eastern Montreal and is mostly occupied by headquarters and warehouses. Saint-Jean Garrison, which has 2,300 employees and military personnel, is located in the Haut-Richelieu region. All the buildings at Saint-Jean Garrison and Longue-Pointe Garrison are equipped with NOTIFIER by Honeywell fire alarm control panels, which are all interconnected via a fiber optic network to a graphic computer. Furthermore, all the armouries located in the Greater Montreal region and in the city of Saint-Jean are connected via a telephone network to computers in these two garrisons, which are in turn connected through an internal IP (Internet Protocol) network.
Val-Cartier Garrison
The Valcartier Garrison was established in 1914. Today it is used as a training camp for the Canadian Forces. The garrison has a residential section and many recreation clubs, including the renowned Myriam Bédard Biathlon Centre. All the buildings at the Valcartier Garrison are equipped with NOTIFIER by Honeywell fire alarm control panels, which are interconnected via a fiber optic network to a graphic computer located in Quebec City.
