These types of buildings are potentially high occupancy buildings, so employee and visitor safety is crucial, such as libraries and museums. They are also being home to irreplaceable valuables of historical relevance.
Viking built its reputation of excellence one project at a time, with the help of a team of professionals, and through the proven efficiency of its systems, which are manufactured using only high-quality products by such manufacturers as Viking Corporation and FireFlex Systems.
FIREFLEX® 1230 integrated systems are therefore suitable for use in all critical installations requiring not only a fast and efficient extinguishing system, but also a system that is perfectly safe for humans and the environment.

Canadian Museum of Nature
The original building of the Canadian Museum of Nature dates from 1905. In 1990, the museum was designated a national historic site of Canada because of its architecture and its prominent role in the development of museology in the country. Starting in 2004, the museum underwent extensive renovations, which included the addition of huge 20-metre glass lantern in replacement of the original tower that was removed in 1915. The modern look of the new tower blends perfectly with the classic architecture of the original building. From 2005 to 2009, Viking Fire Protection took part in the project and, among other things, brought existing systems up to standards and installed fire protection systems tailored to the new sections of the monumental building.

I have had the privilege of working with the Viking Fire Protection team since 2019, after graduating from Seneca College. I have the chance to learn a lot on industry practice and I can make a real difference onsite. Seeking fire violations, improving fire safety in buildings, and the testing and verifications of fire protection systems with an experienced group of colleague is exciting and highly rewardingSamantha Di Petta, Fire Alarm Technician
