Job Description

We are seeking a Junior Fire Protection Technician to assist with the inspection, testing, maintenance, and repair of fire extinguishers and emergency lighting systems. This role is ideal for someone with entry-level experience with a desire to build a career in the fire protection industry. Your responsibilities will be to :

Assist fully certified technicians with preparation, assembly, initial start-up, and verification of new fire alarm systems;
Assist fully certified technicians with Inspection, service, and troubleshooting of existing fire and extinguisher systems;
Complete fire extinguisher and emergency lighting inspections, as well as repairs;
Submit updated and timely reports for inspection and repair completion;
Assist with shop duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

Some experience in fire protection, electrical, construction, or a related trade (an asset);
Willingness to learn;
Positive team player attitude;
CFAA certification or willing to work toward certification, but not required;
Valid driver’s license (mandatory);
Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
Initiative and self-starter is an asset;
Strong customer service skills.
