Fire Alarm Technician

Job Description

  • Program fire alarm systems according to specifications and safety standards
  • Inspect and troubleshoot existing fire alarm systems to ensure proper functionality
  • Perform system upgrades, repairs, additions, and improvements based on inspection findings
  • Conduct inspections and verifications, and report any deficiencies in a timely and accurate manner
  • Respond to emergency service calls during evenings and weekends on a rotational basis

Qualifications

  • Diploma in Fire Protection Technology/Technologist
  • CFAA certification
  • 5 years of relevant experience in the fire protection field
  • Experience in fire alarm systems programming
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Knowledge of Notifier products (an asset)
  • Ability to work well independently
  • Strong customer service skills
