Sprinkler Service Technician

Location : Parksville

Salary : based on the current UA324 agreement for journeyman sprinkler fitters

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you’ll be the go‑to expert for inspecting, servicing, and troubleshooting our clients’ fire alarm systems.

Among other things, your responsibilities will be:

Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair sprinkler system issues
Perform routine inspections and maintenance checks to ensure systems are operating as intended
Modify existing sprinkler systems according to design specifications while ensuring full compliance with local, provincial, and national codes
Identify root causes of system failures and apply corrective actions
Prepare clear service reports and keep site files accurate and up to date
Keep information fresh by updating site databases and maintaining accurate records
Answer customer questions, explain work performed, and offer maintenance guidance
Work safely and smartly, following all health and safety procedures and taking great care of tools and test equipment
Respond to service calls on an 8‑week rotation

Success factors:

3-5 years of experience in testing, inspection and repair of fire sprinkler systems
Marine experience is required
Journeyman Red Seal Certificate
Strong customer service skills
Valid driver’s license
Ability to obtain security clearance for Defence work
Ability to work well in a team and independently
