Job Description

We are seeking a Junior Fire Protection Technician to assist with the inspection, testing, maintenance, and repair of fire extinguishers and emergency lighting systems. This role is ideal for someone with entry-level experience with a desire to build a career in the fire protection industry. Your responsibilities will be to :

  • Assist fully certified technicians with preparation, assembly, initial start-up, and verification of new fire alarm systems;
  • Assist fully certified technicians with Inspection, service, and troubleshooting of existing fire and extinguisher systems;
  • Complete fire extinguisher and emergency lighting inspections, as well as repairs;
  • Submit updated and timely reports for inspection and repair completion;
  • Assist with shop duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Some experience in fire protection, electrical, construction, or a related trade (an asset);
  • Willingness to learn;
  • Positive team player attitude;
  • CFAA certification or willing to work toward certification, but not required;
  • Valid driver’s license (mandatory);
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  • Initiative and self-starter is an asset;
  • Strong customer service skills.
