Job Description

Work Area: Victoria and South Island, BC

If you are Journeyman Electrician and hold your CFAA certification, this could be one of the most interesting and fulfilling job for you.  You will have the opportunity to install, program, inspect, diagnose, repair and replace a large variety of fire protection systems and fire protection components such as:

  • Fire alarm systems, fire extinguishers, emergency lighting, special hazard systems (AFFF, CO2, Novec);
  • Access control installations, automatic door openers and electromechanical fire door systems;
  • Marine fire suppression components up to 600VAC;
  • Fire suppression panels;
  • Storage tank level controllers;
  • Fire pumps;
  • And so forth. 

You will also be responsible to:

  • Fill-out inspection reports;
  • Give training to military alarm technicians;
  • Occasionally design new systems and create as-built.

Requirements

If you are enthusiastic, are a responsible person who has the desire to be a team player, can work with minimum supervision and are dedicated in offering excellent customer service, this position will offer the challenges and growth you are looking for.  The main qualifications we are looking for are:

  • Journeyman Electrician certification;
  • CFAA certification;
  • 5-10 years of experience in a similar position;
  • Valid driver's licence;
  • AutoCAD proficiency;
  • Working knowledge of CAN/ULC standards S524, S536 and S537;
  • Full Notifier installation and programming training.
