Job Description

Our new Warehouse Technician will mainly be responsible to ensure that parts are ordered, pulled from warehouse, packed securely and shipped to customer to start. In the future, there will be an opportunity for training as a Junior technician for assembly, programming and verification of fire alarm panels according to standards and codes. Among other things, your responsibilities will be:

Warehouse work:

  • Processing material orders for projects and inventory;
  • Picking, packing, and shipping material to customer (including arranging with courier companies for pickup and delivery);
  • Delivery of material to technicians on site when required;
  • Keeping fire alarm portion of warehouse organized and clean.

Jr. Technician (future position):

  • Interpret engineering drawings, electrical schematics and blueprints;
  • Assemble fire alarm panels components and sub-assemblies;
  • Proceed to mechanical assembly and adjustments;
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with the equipment;
  • Eventually proceed to initial start-up and verification of equipment on customer’s site.

  • Working knowledge of electronics;
  • Ability to use hand tools and electro-mechanical devices;
  • Valid driver's license (mandatory);
  • Ability to work well with a team as well as independently;
  • Strong customer service and communication skills;
  • Forklift license (an asset).
