A Career Built on Growth and Experience

Chris ’s journey in the fire protection industry began shortly after graduating from the Seneca Fire Protection Engineering Technology program in design. His first role with a large U.S.-based fire protection contractor provided early exposure to complex projects, but Chris decided to return to Canada to continue building his career.

He started as a designer, then transitioned into estimating and project management roles, gaining hands-on experience with sizeable and successful projects.

Over the years, Chris advanced through several key positions — from Senior Estimator to Operations Manager, and ultimately into his current role as District Manager. Each step allowed him to gain a broader view of the business, take on greater responsibility, and contribute to the success of both his teams and clients.

Responsibilities as District Manager

As District Manager, Chris oversees daily operations while upholding Viking’s high standards of quality and service. His responsibilities include:

• Monitoring employee performance to foster growth and career advancement

• Identifying and executing business strategies to promote teamwork

• Preparing and reviewing estimates to ensure compliance with project requirements and profitability
