Job Description

Your mission

Reporting to the District Manager, you will be mainly responsible for answering, screening and dispatching phone calls, provide information and receive visitors.  Among other things, your responsibilities will be to:

  • Process internal and external mail;
  • Accounts payable;
  • File/scan documents on paper and electronically;
  • Order office supplies, arrange for service of office equipment;
  • Occasional telephone relief for Newfoundland branch;
  • Generate documents for management signature;
  • Update spreadsheets;
  • Complete tender forms;
  • Light shipping/handling courier shipments.
  • Various other general office duties as assigned.

Working within a team of fire protection professionals, your work will help the company to adequately meet its clients' expectations.

Requirements

  • Vocational diploma in secretarial study or High School diploma with equivalent relevant experience;
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a similar position;
  • Experience in construction business (an asset);
  • Fluent in spoken and written English (essential, French, an asset);
  • Accounting knowledge (an asset);
  • Knowledge of fire protection products (an asset);
  • Strong computer skills and very good knowledge of Windows software;
  • Strong customer service skills;
  • Be resourceful and have a good work ethic.
