Job Description

Your mission

Reporting to the Regional Manager, you will be responsible for the verification, programming, service and inspection of fire alarm systems according to standards and codes. Among other things, your responsibilities will be:

  • Preparation, assembly, programming, initial start-up and verification of new fire alarm system, as well as project management;
  • Inspection, service and troubleshooting of existing fire alarm systems;
  • Performing upgrades, repairs, additions or improvements to systems following inspection;
  • Preparation of inspection, verification and deficiencies reports in a timely manner;
  • Respond to emergency calls during evenings and weekends;
  • Assistance in preparation of sales estimates;

Your work will help the company to adequately meet its clients’ expectations and you will guarantee them that their fire alarm systems will operate in accordance with applicable standards and codes.

Requirements

Your qualifications

  • Diploma in electronics or electricity or Fire Science Technology or equivalent training and experience;
  • CFAA certification;
  • At least 5  years of relevant experience;
  • Experience in programming fire alarm panels;
  • Working knowledge of CAN/ULC standards S524, S536 and S537;
  • Valid driver's licence (mandatory);
  • Ability to work well independently;
  • Strong customer service skills;
  • Knowledge of Notifier products and/or fire systems (an asset).
