Job Description

Your mission

Reporting to the District Manager, you will be mainly responsible for estimating and selling fire sprinkler system contracts.  Among other things, your responsibilities will be to:

 

  • Meet with clients to identify their needs in terms of fire protection/sprinkler systems;
  • Prepare quotations in accordance with established procedures, and present them to clients;
  • Attract new clients and acquire new business;
  • Ensure quotations’ follow-up with clients;
  • Determine costs breakdown for all phases of the project, if necessary;
  • Prepare work estimation for a project;
  • Prepare and monitor a work calendar, if necessary;
  • Manage projects according to the site schedule, specifications and sales estimate;
  • Assign all necessary resources to complete the project;
  • Evaluate contract's additional costs, if necessary;
  • Elaborate technical presentations concerning fire protection systems;
  • Participate in construction sites meetings, if necessary;
  • Work closely with design and labour departments, perform related administrative tasks and offer them technical support, if necessary.

Working within a Sales team, your work will help developing our business and to adequately meet his clients’ expectations and guarantee them the security of their fire systems.

 

Requirements

  • College degree in fire protection or building mechanics or high school diploma and equivalent relevant experience;
    1. Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a similar position;
    1. Experience with all water fire suppression systems, foam agent and gas agent systems and Industrial Quality Control procedures (an asset);
    1. Proficiency in standards and codes governing the design and installation of fire sprinkler systems;
    1. Valid driver's licence;
    1. Ability to work well independently;
    1. Strong computer skills and very good knowledge of Windows software;
    1. Strong customer service skills.
